The Medikat In his entire group of friends from Groningen, Minus ter Braak may well be the least ambitious. His job as an archivist in Amsterdam suits him just fine, even though it is not very challenging. His life takes a new turn when he investigates his late friend Johan's life's work, at the request of his widow, the day after the funeral. Minus discovers that Johan, along with two partners, had secretly developed a medicine he called "The Medikat." With this medicine every person can at least live twice as long. The consequences of this discovery not only change Minus' life but also his perspective on existence and, most importantly, his relationship with his friends.
